thanks for the info Jake, much appreciated. I'll ask around to find a laser engraver in the low lands. I'm planning to do the exact same C-Record chainset Tel did. May be a while but if I get the result I'm after I'll surely post it here
Try Easy laser in Eindhoven!
Friendly chaps with a lot of knowledge. Also situated in a very nice "creative and cultural hub" as Eindhoven would like to call it ;) Jos van Veldhoven is also around the corner! -

Any thoughts on the pedals i.e. experience in terms of riding quality/functionality?

Look at the positive side... weighing in at 496g that's an awful lot of pedal for your money. Any idea how they ride, anyone?

They look like any other Look Delta design, I expect they ride like it too.

They do, weren't too bad the set I used, felt a bit 'tall' though, and remember they went a bit loose where they were fixed together

Been offered a very good deal on a brand new Phil Wood wheelset laced to to H Plus Son F30 rims. Only "drawback" is that the rear hub comes fixed-fixed as oppose to single-fixed.
Okay, so admittedly it's a first world problem, but is there an aesthetically clever way of concealing the non-drive-side threading, other than actually mounting a cog. I find it rather difficult spending a couple of grand on a minimalistic bike, only to end up with something that isn't.
Also if anyone is familiar with the said rims I would greatly appreciate your feedback. In principle I favour tubulars, but I need a high quality clincher wheelset for serious climbing, or rather the mad skid descends that inevitably goes with it when riding brakeless.

Yesterday i was a tad drunk and spent over 200 on CRC and 35 on some new bars, all for my Steamroller, almost everything to turn it into a ss/fixed, full mudguards and new 32c Hardshells, thought it was sensible at the time, kind of regretting it now.
^Tease!
