  • Ha! Excellent!!

    Me, about an hour ago...
Pembroke road decent, eating delicious piping hot chips, anticipating the joy and mystery of the battered sausage I'd just bought to celebrate completeing my tax return. Evil pothole of death(which I have to avoid every day) suddenly attacks me from nowhere.
Not entirely sure what happened next but find myself lying on the floor, still holding my chips(only 4-5ish dropped) with bike 5m down the hill without a mark on it aside from the fact my rear wheel is now egg shaped. I appear to escaped unscathed aside from a sore forearm and foot.
Chips were a bit cold by the time I'd walked home but still delicious....

Hehe!! Similar thing happened to me with lasagnas! (I saved a bit of the food!)

This happened a little while ago, just out to a meeting in the west end mid morning. I roll past Ludgate Circus short climb up Fleet Street. Car traffic queuing to turn right at the lights. I am heading straight on. Then stationary car decides to pull out and turn left, no signal, no warning. I guess he was being too impatient to look around.

I am riding fixed with toe straps. I slam the front brake and somehow manage to leapfrog my handle bars and land on my feet, the bike collapses behind me. The driver stops and looks at me in awe, and the peds around break out in applause. I take a bow, pick up bike.. I asked the driver if he knew where he was heading, cos I didn't have a fricking clue.

I made it to my meeting, pretty upset though.. Okay I know there wasn't a collision.

I love the guy at the bottom left on the pavement!

Hope you guys are all fine...
