Based in Bristol - I can post, but it will be costly and you will have to self assemble. I will be in Uxbridge, west Londonshire next Monday 4th Feb.
Just for clarity: No dents or rust on the frame.
Cinelli Stem in pic is not included - it has been replaced by a 3T status quill stem 115mm
The bike is beautiful, light and fast - The lugwork is superb. The seat tube was rebrazed last year where the seat stays meet the top to make it a bit stronger. The work was completed by Argos cycles.
I have most of the receipts for the bike and a lovely letter from Barrie Barrons wife regarding the bikes history.
I want this bike to go to a good home, really. The frame has allot of history from it's former owner/racer Barry Frow and the bike means allot to me - It has been through several builds and colours chemes under my ownership. I have rebuilt it every year from the ground up, all of the threads are coated in coppaslip grease to prevent seizing - I build bikes for allot of people and like to be able to dismantle them without any issues.
The rear wheel bearing is old, but still has a few hundred miles left in it. It is a cartridge bearing and replaceable.
If only I was a bit younger and my knees were still up to it......and my back and the hacking cough + the grey hair......kids eh!

Dont think Barrie makes them anymoreNo, I believe he retired some time ago. I think he concentrated on building racing tricycles?! I have contacted the Barron's when I lost one of the fork crown inserts - luckily they had some spare and sent me one in the post to fit.
I have a letter from Barrie's wife certifying the build and the frame buyer (This will go with the frame of course) and I have all the receipts for the work on the frame from Argos Cycles in Bristol.
Nice to have a little bit of racing history and heritage with the bike. I have an Aende frame with some detail on the build and history too.

word
The Yellow Cinelli Stem in the photo's has been removed and the bike is now fitted with a 3T status quill stem
Custom built TT frame built by Barry Barron of Stowe in Lincolnshire for TT racer Barry Frow, Reynolds 531 Sl frame, super light and super agile;
The bike has had all braze ons removed by Argos Cycles in Bristol and was recently re-powder coated matt silver by RPA powder coating:
The bike is fitted with:
Selle Italia Turbomatic Gel Flow Team edition saddle (optional, can remove this and reduce price accordingly)
Thomson 27.2 layback seatpost black
3T status stem 115mm
Velo Orange Randonneur bars (large flat area on the tops in lieu of STI or Aero brake levers!)
Shimano 105 SLR front brake
Dia Compe Dirty Harry brake lever Silver
Token carbon BB 103mm (about 1000 miles on it)
Sugino RD2 Chainset and Velosolo 44 T chainring
Rodi front wheel 30mm deep
Miche 16T sproket and carrier
Half link chain - About 500 miles on it.
Weinmann Pegasus rear wheel - Novatec Hub - no braking surface
MKS chain tugs
SPD Pedals
The bike weighs between 7 and 8kg and is damn quick and agile. I am very sad to sell the bike as it has served me so well as a TT racing bike and a fixie for commuting. However, my knees are not up to riding fixed any longer.
The bike is spaced at 120mm between the track fork ends; was originally a 5 speed frame, I had Argos Cycles in Bristol replace the vertical dropouts with track fork ends.
The fork crown has the 'Barron' logo embossed on it, the lugs are all cutout to save weight and the BB shell is also cutout to save weight - the bike was built light and built to be fast.
55cm top tube
55cm seat tube
13cm head tube
1" threaded steerer
open to offers ~£495 - Postage is possible......But you will have to assemble yourself.
