We are looking for an enthusiastic bike lover to join our team and growing business.
Hadron Cycles is a small and ambitious business that loves all cyclists and all types of bikes. We don’t just focus on the fanatical sportif rider or the fixie hipster, we cater for all. This is our third year in business and we’ve grown quite a following; we run Sunday rides from the shop, hold maintenance courses, support local cycling initiatives and will be expanding in the near future.
We’re recruiting for a hybrid role: Mainly a salesperson, but partly a mechanic-in-the-making. We need someone who is happy to serve customers, understand their needs and work as part of our team. Successful applicants will have also have an interest in the mechanical side of things and won’t be afraid to fix a flat, or set up a derailleur.
The reason we get such good reviews is because of our bike knowledge and attentive customer service. We like our customers to know who their bike shop staff are when they entrust their bike with us for a service. Even our sales team have to be the kind of people who can spot mechanical issues early on and then can explain what’s to be done to resolve them. When a customer picks up their bike, the sales staff should be able to explain what has been done, with confidence.
What we’re looking for:
Passionate about cycling (obviously)
Previous retail experience - you need to be confident talking to customers
Basic knowledge about bicycle mechanics. We can teach you the rest.
What we can offer:
A fun environment
Competitive hourly rate
Over time if required
Staff discount of 20% and 30% off your first bike or frame
Workshop training.
Hours: This is a full time role to cover Thu / Fri / Sat / Sun / Mon.
Salary: To be negotiated
