If anyone is thinking of doing the Kent 2 route (starting from Otford) be warned that the road surface at the bottom of Sundridge Hill is currently abysmal. It's at the section where there's usually standing water all year, but currently it's pretty dry and there are potholes everywhere. Once the water returns this could prove lethal.
