For Sale: Carlton Track Beater / Pub Bike, F+F + Parts.

A bit gutted about selling this as I have not had it long but I picked up another frame at the weekend and living in a studio apartment doesn't give me much bike space so unfortunately this has to go!

So here it is, Carlton track frame, was told it's a 1962 but from the numbers stamped on the track ends it would appear to be late 50's. 53cm CTT, top-tube 56cm CTC. 531 frame so quite light. Paintwork is tatty to say the least but the frame is in good straight condition. It served as an amazing pub bike beater for a short while but now I must get rid.

Will include F+F, brand new bottom bracket fitted, brand new headset & bearings, seatpost & quill stem. BARS NOT INCLUDED.

I was in talks with James1234 about the frame but he told me there was some work to do on it so I chose to pass. Seatpost stuff if I recall, I assume you've repaired it?

The seat clamp has been tightened too much at some point in its life, I can only assume because it was fitted with a seatpost too small for the frame. Hard to explain but its perfectly fine now, had it checked over by someone in the know and its safe and solid. Heres a quick picture...

Am I correct in thinking that this frame would have been built to take 27" wheels? The clearances don't look too bad built up with 700c wheels.
