Edisons were very happy to finally beat CMD. Hooks win after consistent, organised play in front of a home crowd. Edisons were still getting used to new bikes as well. French teams are all moving around a little bit - many strong players settling in to new teams. Atmosphere was great as you'd expect from Rouen. MVP: Rob? Quentin?
What did Maks do for a bike?
Gutted I wasn't there, how were your games?

I got old Greg's frame (EHBPC, beta-Victoire). Quite good, a little toe-overlap but it's OK.
Thanks everyone who came. As usual, it's good to see english teams I really like.
It was a great tournament, loved to organize it, and loved to win it for the second time hahah :)And for me, Quentin as MVP. He was amazing all along.

I had a great time once again, this year's has been harder to organize but it ended up pretty well, thanks a lot to the volunteers, DJohn H who's been incredible running podium and entertaining everyone with his Magic Dj sets between games.
Thanks also to MAGIC and HOSER, the two first ever sponsors of the epiphanie who gave prices for the 6 Persons who came ONLY to REF and did a great job.
It was great to see everyone again after 6 months, and I'm pretty sure it was the warmest epiphanie we ever hosted.

oh man. Annoying for people watching at home. How do you know if the score is final or not? It even highlighted Edisons. Looked like a sealed deal. meh
Active games are white, finished games are grey.
It's designed as a feature, for tournament organisers to provide goal by goal updates to those watching. But I'll pass on some feedback that it caused confusion in this case, and maybe he needs to make it more obvious.

DJohn H ... entertaining everyone with his Magic Dj sets between games.
Ha! Spoons and Todd did their bit too, deciding on songs to play. But theme songs for team was fun.

Theme tunes were amazing! This has to continue!
We also need a real keyboard to do the hockey theme. Thanks Rouen for yet again one of the best polo experiences ever.
Always a pleasure to see you all. Food and hot drinks courtside were great and the Saturday party is always awesome. Thankfully I avoided the weird kissing events. A lot of great polo was played.Big thanks Maks for letting us stay, Angelo for getting us there and back, and of course to Rupert and Luca. Gutted we couldn't have made it further. We were just finding our groove.
Sorry we couldn't stay for the photos and celebrate afterwards. Had to vanish.
See y'all soon.

The reffing was one of the main highlights for me. I didn't really notice it until the final, when I spent some time in and around DJohn H's cave, but that shows how consistent it was; it blended into the background letting games flow, with one ref on the whistle, one on the timer and one on the scoreboard. Goal refs always identified before the game. Present but not officious. Trez been mezamy

Not always. But second day vastly improved.

The reffing was one of the main highlights for me.
Ha hate so much the "team who win has to ref" and I'm not the only one. So we invited people who wanted to ref the game. Glad Woods imagined the present for volunters. It works with the epiphanie's gift system.
We need to make it happen as much as we can. Players can't ref games if they play a tournament, it's too difficult for the body and the mind.

I totally agree, and I'm glad you got it to work.

Had an awesome weekend! So much fun, this tournament is always more about the good times than the real serious polo which I love. Thanks Todd + Rupert for playing with me, sorry we couldn't get any further! And Max for hosting us, sorry I kept you all up munching my kebab!

^hilarious commentary. Love the bit where Ben gets gay for Greg, and Clem says hi to his mom. Next year everyone has to translate their team names into french ("les crochets" contre "les fils d'Eddy"). Pis Clemsy la fin ça fait trop Joey sur le manège au jour de l'an. PUKE!
