On my side, the tyre that lasted the longest in my experience is the Thickslick. It lasted twice as long as the previous tyres I was using (Vittoria Randonneur, Bontrager, and some other crap).
Also, when I get into a bike shop, what I am always told is that I should get a top-of-the-range (expensive) puncture-resistance tyre. But my intuition goes against this and I feel that rubber thickness is more important than puncture resistance. What do you think? -

ok, thanks guys. How can I delete this thread?

I was advised by the guy in my lbs to go for Ribmos because I'm not too heavy and the v shape of the tire cross section is good as there is not too much road contact. Anyone heard this before?

sounds like utter bullshit. However the Ribmo is a very good tyre, and will last a good amount of time to skidding, I'd go for either them or Gatorskin Hardshells.
Hi everyone,
I've tried to find this info on the forum but can't seem to find a good thread about it, which is surprising.
I am looking for personal opinions about the most durable tyres for skidding and skipping. What's your favourite tyre for this?
