Had my Condor stolen from outside Brentford Leisure Centre last night (22/1). Can't find a picture at the moment, details:
Grey Condor Pista, 55cm - 6/7 years old, older style Condor decals, ITM spider forks, Suzue Pro Max Hubs, open pros, F&R brakes, Michelin Krylion tyres, very battered rolls saddle, Vatternrundan 2011 race number on the seat tube.
Seen on many TNRCs and a few forum rides - not many Pistas of this vintage about. Much ridden/much loved. Any sightings - a pm would be much appreciated. Will post a picture if I can find one. Thanks

Oh, that sucks, Des. Really hope you have some luck with this.

^^Ah Des that's horrible :/
Are you following it up with the police at all?And was it locked up well or one of those "I'll just leave it for 5 mins..." days? :(

Shit Des, I'm gutted for you. I can't really be of any help keeping an eye out as I'm fairly sure I won't see it on the streets of Abergavenny,
Hope you get it back.

Just walked outside to find both bikes missing from the garden. Still trawling ebay / gumtree, and more sentimental value than street value.
One is a fixed OTP kona paddy wagon - 2008 version with the yellow deep v wheels. Drop handlebars with matching yellow tape, and I stripped off the brake levers and put a single brake lever in the middle of the bars. Removed the flip-flop hub too, so it is somewhat customised. No photos that I can find right now.
The other was a decathlon racer - full 105, triple ring, carbon forks. Had no pedals on at time of theft. This is more sentimental than valuable for sure.
Both were locked up - the fixed wheel with a Fahg mini, the racer with an Abus chain and padlock. Behind a padlocked garden gate.
Truly gutted. Police e-mail next on list.

Thanks fellas - I've left it many times for 5mins, but it was well locked this time. I blame it all on playing squash - seems set to keep me off the bike. Might claim on insurance so did report it to the police, but no cctv so a long shot. Always a chance that I'll come across it in my travels and if it makes it as far as Abergavenny...

The bike probably stole itself because it wanted an easier life ... commiserations.

Just picked up a Joe Waugh complete bike from Forest Hill. It was sold at Deptford Market this morning. According to seller it's from 'a house clearance in Camberwell, the guy moved to France' - if you left this bike in a vacant house you must be mad.
If anyone has lost this beautiful machine please let me know. It's 59ST x 57.5TT, close clearance road frame. If it's yours you'll be able to describe the group etc. You'd bloody miss it!

Bump^
If anyone's on any forum where a Joe Waugh has been reported stolen please contact me... yacf, roadie forums maybe?
-
• #9887
Have you reported it to the Cycle Task Force?
-
• #9888
Oliver I have no clue as to whether it's hot or not. Except that it was sold via a market similar to BLM.

but CTF would be able to search the serial number / description on their databases, presumably? then if it's not been reported, and there are no leads from the other forums, you get to keep it as a clear-conscience bargain.

• #9890
And a bargain it is.
-
• #9891
i reported a bike i assumed was stolen to the CTF nad the eventually (lot of nidging) reunited with owner. Few pages back
-
• #9892
Cheers noiser.
Not sure if I've done the right thing in buying it.
How do I contact the CTF?
-
• #9893
Don't see why it's wrong if you attempt to check its stolen.
bargain reward vs. not getting the owner pay you what you paid risk
I emailed them with the details. They took forever and were we're daft enough to say that it was unlikely the same bike as I picked it up the same day (stolen Richmond, 'recovered' Bethnal Green). Eventually offers to collect it but I said I'd bought it so wanted the owner to collect. Exchanged emails and got my money back, and a bottle of wine. -

I mailed them.
Turns out Dave Yates built it from 853. Frickin nice frame.
I wish it fitted me... in case I do keep it.

\Edit: there's more info now, not just a pic
ok so in summer my bike was stolen and have mostly given up all hope (have previously posted on here) but thought i would try one more time just to see if anyone has seen it around lately (I didnt see it turn up on gumtree / ebay or brick lane). it still breaks my heart
it was a cougar (made by terry dolan) frame which is 55cm square and 653 steel, track frame, kinda cracked looking paint when up close, it was probably the best track frame i have ever ridden, dont have much hope for the parts (including rear phil wood laced to cxp33) but would like the frame back. anyone seen it on travels around?
here is a pick of said frame:
