Have you brazed the new ends in yet?
There is no right or wrong, it's just your 'look at me' attitude to everything that gets the reaction.
Also, they shouldn't be a different position to the top of your hoods/drops on your road bike, or the bottom of them if you're going lopro. Anything else and you're doing it wrong.
