Was a great evening of riding! Came 12th in the end due to lack of carbs and dropping behind the leading pack on the way out to Bath. Bloody cold night but can't wait for next year!
Been a hectic month of events in Bristol with the Hell Climb, FixedNChips and Hacksaws challenge races. Great to be in such a thriving fixed gear community!

Saturday 1st of October sees Bristol Dropouts organise and host University Challenge, a fixed gear bike race in Bristol.

Haha definitely, i knew i was under-prepaired before i left my flat but as soon as i met up with rob and lucy in their full skinsuits, TT set ups and massive gear inches i knew i was in for a grueling ride.
haha i didn't realise we were so intimidating ;-) it was a good ride even though ive never been so close to vomming on my handlebars before...! cheers DJC

I think it's safe to say you smashed it with the time you put in despite taking a wrong turn haha.
Next year i'll turn up with double discs and a track gearing just you wait :). (Still on the Fox racesuit though obviously)
