  • He did look quick in that finish.
Dropped off and put some big yards into them, as he came past. Looked like the other three were caught well out..

  • He hit them hard and early, which only works if you've got the legs for it. He did.

  • Track experience. Go early. Go hard. Sustain the power.. Lovely finish..

  • More than that, it was him that attacked and established the break, punching up Corkscrew Hill, maintaining the gap to the charging Peloton, then picking off his fellow escapees with ruthless efficiently. Very classy win and he showed plenty of nous

  • Sky in panache shocker!

    Repped

  • He does look lean as fuck and is on the gear new Tim Kerrison training program along with the rest of the classics squad

"We pretty much don't train at home anymore," Thomas told Cycling Weekly"

The pros have it too easy.

  • As it goes I hope G wreaks bloody mayhem in the classics and then kills PSagz in the face in TDF.

I also honestly think Brad does not give a fuck who leads where in 2013; it's a victory lap after 2012 and like he said it will only get shit after the year he just had.

  • Froomie making a media showing today.

2013 tour is going to be epic. All the big names in for in.

  • Slagter. Boss.

  • How do you DNF in a criterium? Andy Schleck always finding new ways to suck.

  • Mechanical close to the end and no point restarting race? Not planning on contesting? Stop for a cry?

  • 23 years old, his first pro win 3 days ago, today the TdU. Hat off to TJ Slagter and congrats to the Blanco cycling team.

  • Salgter looks a good prospect, will keep an eye for him for the rest of the season. Good for the team to notch up some wins considering their position. Chuffed that Geraint managed third with some clever riding to grab sometime bonuses

  • F. Schleck out of the tour. Banned from last years tour dope test.

  • Well personally I am DEVASTATED by the news

  • Ladies Tour of Qatar has just finished, Kirsten Wild takes the GC for the 3rd time in 4 years, also winning 3 out of 4 stages. Well done!

Men will start their 5-corners-a-stage-sandblasting-wind-desert-tour on Sunday, Boonen won't be there to defend last years title though. Start list is here

  • Out of interest, after all the fuss about Eisel being Cav's main man and following him to Sky, why did he not follow Cav onto Omega-Pharma?

  • Cav doesn't speak to him after Eisel left him to get the bar tab at Le Baron Bouge.

  • LOL.

I'm fancying phinney for a good placing at the ToQ.
    Sky will do well too.

  • Out of interest, after all the fuss about Eisel being Cav's main man and following him to Sky, why did he not follow Cav onto Omega-Pharma?

Eisel could follow him easily to Sky because a) Sky wanted him and b) he was out of contract after HTC-Highroad went kar-phlooey. He would have signed a 2-3 year contract and Sky wanted to keep him. Sky waived the buy out fee for Cav but they weren't about to let a key domestique go as well, and maybe OPQS didn't want him, or weren't prepared to pay to get him for Cav. Cav wanted to take his soigneur with him as well, that he may have managed.

Or what Hippy said. Could be either

He part of Sky's much vaunted assault on the Cobbled Classics, if they can notch up some wins there as well as stage races they will be the number 1 team. Think some lads from Quickstep will have something to say about that, since they equalled Sky's 50 wins last year, and now they have the rider that was responsible for 15 of Sky's
