• What Louis said...

  • Is there a bar in the venue?

My new year's resolution is already dead.

  • no but there is a hot chocolate machine.

  • Must dig out that old hip flask.

So yes we are in. As long as it doesnt become too difficult to get around tomorrow. You know how I dont like it slippy.

  • Can't come. Working until after. Have fun! Would love to see a game sometime though

  • This was a brilliant game - Streatham went down by two goals early on, and it looked like it was going to be a whitewash, the Romford lads were all over them, but they defended well and held back the tide. Midway through Streatham found their form, and put together more flowing plays, but couldnt find a way past the Romford keeper. It was only in the last period that they found the net, and the momentum carried them all the way to the end to overturn it to 4-2. Romford (top of the table) had beaten them by eleven goals at their last encounter so this was a big upset.

I'm definitely going again soon. Good analogies in places to polo games. The play reminded me a lot of the way Ryan jumps around on the court.

  • There's a full report here for anyone who is interested.

  • Karaoke is free at Little Voice in Soho, Sundays and Mondays. Are we going to do this?

  • I am keen to play tomorrow. Anyone can do a lunchtime update on the state of the courts?

  • As much as I'd also love to play, the court will have snow on it, till around 1pm when it may melt, but it won't dry so when it gets sub zero again (around 4) there will be a thin layer of ice... Which shouldn't be a problem as it'll snow again around 6.

    Peckham?! :)

  • nice one kev, glad you had fun. How was the Hot choc?

  • i skipped the hot chocolate. Too busy! Wasnt bothered queueing up at the machine. I'll take a look at the court on my lunch today but Ben you should probably get yourself another pastime that isnt polo for the next week or so i think..

  • Can do Peckham if we have 6. Anyone else?

    Peckham?! :)

  • Newington at 2pm today:

Unfortunately it's nowhere near that stage yet... there's a few inches of untouched powder on it and it's not getting much sun coming in... :-(

  • Flame thrower? Ask in the tool library thread.

  • I've got that mountain bike still built up. We could play Cyclocross polo. First one to scoop it in to the cone wins

  • Expected to be sunny tomorrow with tempt above freezing. Anyone keen on South polo?

  • tomorrow would be cool...

  • I'll be there if the snow's gone?

  • I'll check it on my lunch break again, but i doubt it will be gone by then.

  • I'll be up for the pub if the courts aren't playable...
    #surprisesurprise

  • I'm in for something... Pref polo...
