Ed - that's an Orthodox Cross. Given the various schisms in Christianity, you don't expect them to agree on something as simple as the representation of a method of Roman execution do you?

Basically the Orthodox didn't have tippex in those day and age when they accidentally slipped on the horiztional line to make the cross then.

He posts some really great stuff but he's been asked plenty of times to do as everyone else does and moderate some of his posts to include links. If he continues to refuse and sometimes goes out of his way to be obtuse about it, then it's no-ones fault but his.

sorry about that, i didn't realize the picture was that well known. i used to live near the bitterroot and spent some time there, figured it was a local thing. the horse jumping through fire picture reminded me of the bitterroot fire picture.
