  • That fat bike looks great, i assume Titan Russia is unrelated to Titan China.
Does anyone know if the reference to colnago on the RTF website infers that they manufacture frames for other brands and thus have the prerequisite skill.
    Or is it buyer beware?

Its Triton in Russia, and X'ian Titan in China. So yes no relation.

The grades of tubing are different to what we are used to. The standard grades of Ti used in 'the west' are Ti 3AL/2.5V and the pricier Ti 6AL/4V. Triton use a grade common in Russia, Ti 4Al/l.5Mn, maybe RTF use the same? seems likely. Apparantly this is a grade used in China too. The internet is full of stiffnes analysis for the western grades relating to bike frame use. But nought regarding the 'eastern' grades.

Dont ask what all this means, I'm a polymer scientist, not a metal expert. Just sharing some info.
