Nervous frame, haha a lovely mistranslation. Pethaps you tried to say 'twitchy' ...
I would be nervous if I was a Moser frame.
-
• #3
Woah. Yeah, I reckon it's 'twitchy' you were looking for.

What's that seat clamp business? Does it take an external clamp that's not shown?

It's using an internally expanding seatpost.
Just like a stem.http://velo-orange.blogspot.co.uk/2006/11/atax-internally-expanding-seat-post.html

I have a moser leader AX and its the same system, seat posts are v rare and normally expensive.

Could you not cut into the top of the seat tube and then use an external clamp?
Not sure I'd do that to a Moser, but it'd work, presumably. -
• #11
That's normally what people do, I think you drill hole first and than cut down to the hole so the cut doesn't keep splitting.
I did break one seat post , tightened too much , but managed to find another.
'twas a lucky find -

Begs the question, 'why?'
If it's not saving any weight, and has little to no aero advantage... I suppose it looks aaight. -
• #13
I have had the same thoughts.the seat posts are quite heavy.definately no weight advantage.

Jesse?
Who's Jesse? I had just finished watching an episode of The Wire. That will explain my language.

Oh, ok. Jesse's from Breaking Bad.
Better?

Hahah, very much so!
Never seen Breaking Bad you see.
Anyway the space between the fork and the front tire is microscopic. This would make an ideal winter training bike when the front jams up you really have to work your thighs to move anywhere..
