For Sale: 1995 Leleu 650B Porteur Bike, Large Racks, Coaster brake, Brooks, 50cm ST / 56cm TT

I have an awesome 1995 Leleu Porteur Bike for sale, serviced and ready to ride.

The seat tube is 50cm centre to centre, top tube is 56cm centre to centre – I would say this bike fits someone around 5ft8’ (5ft6 to 5ft10 ish).

This is bike has just been serviced by my fair hands and has received new white wall tyres & tubes, a new white chain, new grips and a general look over and the dynamo was also repaired and is now fully operational.

Here is the specification:

• 60mm Pivo alloy stem,
  
• 44cm chrome swept back bars and a bell, brand new grips
  
• Chrome front and rear racks (front is 38cm wide by 33cm long),
  
• Chrome mudguards;
  
• Chrome chainguard, **new **white chain;
  
• Square taper singlespeed chainset
  
• 650B wheels with a coaster brake (pedal backwards and it stops), new tyres - Michelin World Tour 650Bx35mm
  
• Black B17 Standard Brooks leather saddle,
  
• Saccon cantilever front brake,
  
• Lyotard rubber pedals,
  
• Esge Plescher side stand, and
  
• Solida Dynamo (fully working, front and back).
  
  
  

The gearing is 46T at the front, 16T at the back so pretty good for city riding. The Histop coaster brake works really well and you nearly never use the front brake.

I am waiting for a new Mielec triple triangle frame so I need to make some space (and some cash to buy parts).

This is the first bike I had with a coaster brake, they are really good.

I would be very interested in taking the rack, if there is any chance of that.

The rack is one of the bike main assets so I won't be splitting I'm afraid.

I've seen people covering these in wood, they look really smart.

Where abouts did you get the rack? Or with the bike?

The rack (and all other accessories) did originally come with the bike.

Although the wheels are 650B on this bike, I know that the rack will fit on standard 700c forks.
