To answer some questions I have been asked.
126mm rear spacing (but there is enough 'spring' to fit a modern 130mm wheel)
Fits modern recessed allen bolt brake calipers.
English threaded bottom bracket.
Also has an original 1983 era Tange Levin chrome headset fitted and running smoothly.

Have you measured how heavy is the frame with fork and headset?
I'm asking, because you also posted a picture of the frame only.
Maybe you have weighed it... -

Sorry I didn't weigh it prior to the build.

Had loads of interest but no takers yet. I would take £120 if I keep the crankset and pedals. I can chuck in a cheapo crankset so its still complete. I may also consider selling the frame on its own if anyone is interested?

To the people who have asked, Sorry, I really cant be arsed to post the frame!

Hi, a buddy of mine is interested in buying this bike (he's had to get back to work hence me asking on his behalf!). We live in Bournemouth but would be prepared to drive up and grab it. What cranks would be on the bike given the £120 offer? Thanks

Good luck with it Tony. Glad it went to a good home mate!
Wes Mason bike.
Frame: Wes Mason 531 Reynolds. Wes Mason was a former professional rider in the 1960s, was one of the founders of the famous "MKM" brand. He produced his own line of frames from about the year 1974 until about 1995. This frame is from 1983 and being nearly 20yrs old it does have some marks and scrapes but no dents. Its a good quality frame and has campag dropouts. It does have a very small crack coming from one of the bottle screws but has never got bigger since I have owned it. I have had it looked at by Chas Roberts and he said he wasn't sure if it was just a crack in the paint but he would sort it by putting a star shape water bottle boss in and it would cost £15. He said he would need it for a week and with it being my everyday commuter I haven't had a chance to take it in. I have decided to buy something boring with mudguard etc to commute on so that why its up for sale.
Some spec.
Frame is a Wes Mason, 531 Reynolds and the size is 54 C-C / 56cm C-T.
Chainset is a 45t Token chainring and Stronglight 2000 track cranks.
16T ACS freewheel.
Miche racing brakes (less than a week old).
Shimano Ms20 pedals.
Tektro brake levers.
Pretty new Rubino tyres.
Miche xpress Bottom Bracket.
Selle turbo Saddle or San Marco (you can have both).
3ttt Handlebars.
Unbranded wheels and hubs.
I live in Sutton and work in Kingston so it can be viewed/collected from either. I also have family in Richmond and I am down there every now and then too.
£150. No dibs please just come and buy it.
