He was in the middle of the road cycling up from the lights by the hospital and I was behind him in the cycle lane. He was going quite slow so I was catching him up on the inside.
This does sound a lot like undertaking, if you overtook you would have been on the right of him, if you were a safer distance behind him whilst of the left then his wobbling back to the left wouldn't have led to you two getting so close.

Show me where i said i overtook him? I said i was catching him up as he was going slowly. I kept a distance as i was fucking watching what he was doing for about 5 minutes. I knew he was going to pull infront of me without checking. Your getting on my nerves now.

Overtaking is what you should have done, or stayed further back so that when he pulled back in he wasn't on a collision course with you. Anyway, I'm not bothered by what you did, but what you wrote sounds like undertaking, which is why that was said to you, which is what the over-reaction was to.
