well ive sent a mail to the organisers and they said that if 20+ people turn up on the day then the event will go ahead as they will be able to cover their costs and make a small donation to charity.
he also said that the event has never been cancelled since it first started in 1954! so it seems that the weather will have to do something biblical for these hard bastards to not go out.
i'm undecided. primarily because i'm using these rides for training, so if i can't go fast and attack the hills etc then i'm sure there's something else more worthwhile i could be doing (like a long run etc) that will benefit me more. plus i don't want to be too reckless and really risk injury. i mean i did lejog last year in winter and cycled in snow and vowed never to do that again...
