take the dog for a walk. Not step two minutes outside your door and let it run around in a pen. that isn't exercise. Your only sympathising with him cause he goes about as far to exercise his dogs as you do to play polo. ;)

Having a dog is a choice. We pay taxes, some of it goes towards recreational areas. I don't necessarily agree that the dog has as much right to the area as I do. We don't have the option to go to the next bit of Tarmac along the road, dog owners do. If you make a conscious choice of having a dog that needs exercise, that's your choice and shouldn't affect others. IMO.

It should be said I don't pay tax to islington council, but some of you do.

This, basically.

But they're not going to take their dogs for a walk, there's no precedent of that, so that is not a constructive solution. There is precedent for them letting them exercise in large enclosed areas, so that's what needs to be provided. We need to work within their parameters IMO.
I was going a bit far when I said I 'sympathise', I guess I meant 'I can see where they're coming from'.
I'm not saying these people are good dog owners – far from it. I'm saying they'd be worse dog owners if they didn't walk them, as they don't seem to presently, and they didn't have any area near their homes to let the dogs run, which is the situation proposed by stopping them have access to the court.
I don't want them to have access to the court, but I want them to have access to another area as convenient: the area of grass literally 3 metres away! Which no-one uses!

Opening the grassy area as late as the court seems to be a clear, easy and long-term solution.

Bullshit, they should walk their dogs, at least 2 hours a day, they themselves would be a lot healthier as a result and the dogs wouldn't be dangerous cunts either, because they would be knackered and fulfilled with lots of sniffing and territorial marking. If you can't be fucked to walk your dog 2 hours a day, fuck off. Mitch isn't and was never meant to be a dog yard. You should defend it. Dicks.

I could do with more sniffing and pissing too.

• #21935
Piss sniffing?
-
• #21936
You should hang out with Bill.

• #21937
Dude pisses everywhere!

Agree with all of this, but they wont. I'm interested in a way to get them away from our court, not a way to argue.

Hey guys, can anyone help out at NE beginners this Saturday? I have to work and Ben is busy. All you have to do is take a few spare mallets to London Fields and start a list on the Beginners thread... we could really do with more players at the minute.

Snoops you are the voice of reason and has made me realise that suggesting putting laxatives in dog treats wouldn't be constructive...
