• G'day.

Regrettably I'm selling my beloved Dave Russell track frame because I'm running out of room in the cellar and brakless makes me poo myself.

The frame's a 24"ctt built with double-butted tubing throughout (there's no tubing sticker so I can't be sure of the manufacturer). Track ends are Zeus as is the fork crown (Zeus 2000). The BB is standard British 68mm, seat tube is 27.2 and the steerer standard 1" threaded. The frame comes fitted with a chrome steel Campagnolo headset of the correct period. The frame's in lovely condition for the age, it's patinated beautifully with slight wear to the decals and there's still a sparkle to the silver paint in the sun. To be honest I'm not sure of the exact angles but the clearances are fairly typical of a 1970s era frame; tight enough for the bike to feel nippy and agile but with room for 23mm tyres at a push and sensible clearance between front wheel and downtube. The 'Campagnolo' decal on the toptube is, as far as I can tell, original, but can be covered with 'Cunt' or 'God is my brakes' if desired. The headbadge says Slough, so the frame is from before Dave downsized his business and moved to smaller premises in Twyford.

I paid £230 for F&F without headset just over a year ago, I'm asking £220 now including the headset and postage to mainland UK.
