Hey Varno,
Sent you a mail mid last week to give you the proper postage address and ask a couple of questions, but haven't had a reply. Any chance you could take a look? I was basically asking if the Miche hubs come with any cogs? I see the Quando's come with an 18t but obviously I'll need that on the Miche too!
Thanks dude.

Hey Varno just thought I'd let you know I've had my wheels 20 months now and they are still going strong and true despite being commuted 12 pot-holed miles a day! Thanks for the good work :)

Hey Jim,
What's the difference between these:
http://www.v-sprintwheels.com/pages/track-wheels-alloy-race.htmlAnd the Miche on unmachined DP18s?
-
• #210
Less spokes from the looks of it.... So lighter?
-
• #211
Amazing price for a pair of quality wheels! What's the average turnaround time from order for a fairly standard build (quando hubs, DP18 rims etc) to delivery?
-
• #212
Hi mate..
These are built for track really although some have been bought for road! More superior MIche hub...These are same as Primato and branded by us. The rims are more aero and a higher quality spoke which a less in count...We do these in clincher and tub for the track league types.....Quick wheels and you would feel a difference compared to the cheaper versions....I race on these when outdoors..

VI think I've owned pretty much every type of wheel that Varno has sold so have quite a good context for comparison.
Without a doubt, the Sapim spokes on the Alloy race make for a noticeably stiffer and more interactive ride than the Miche/DP18 combo.
IMHO you can definitely feel a difference and the extra ££ was worth it for me.
Its a shame Jim couldn't build me some track carbon clinchers because I'd be riding 6 sets of V-Sprint rather than 5 V-Sprint and one pair of Hed Jets ;)

Having said that, I'm in the market for some carbon road clinchers for the new season ;)

oooooh Carbon Track Clinchers......."clinches bum cheeks"!!
Make sure they are good ones..Our road sets have an alloy rim and rock it!! ;-))

Can you do the DP18's/Pegasus with the Sapim blade spokes?
Also does anyone have any experience of the machined 40mm pegasus? I understand the black have a painted braking surface? If so, does the brake squeal and the paint flake off? I like the all black look, but don't want them to look terrible in 6 months! :)
