Almost certain they'll be 6000 series, loads of places sell 'em. Ceramics ain't cheap though and honestly don't think you'll notice a difference unless you're doing about 900mph...

thanks tim. yeah, i've steered away from ceramics after reading around a bit. I'll try ringing BLB, maybe they can say exactly which ones i need.

just search for formula hub bearings, or ambrosio or system ex
they all same hubs -

And get FAG or SKF ones. They cost about £8 per pair from Bolton Engineering.

Thanks for all the info! Quick google search took me to bike radar and the guys on there are saying 6000, not 6002.
Edit: Phil website also says 6000 for Formula hubs. -

Yep. I'd guess you want 6000 2RS. I think 1000AA was suggesting a cheap place to get them, rather than specifying 6002. Best to take a look at the ones you have in there now. The number is probably printed on the rubber seals.

Cool, thanks 1000AA and butters, I'll get them from one place or the other.

I got a pack of 10 off eBay for under £10.
Can't find the exact one right now, but check it out. -

^Same here, got the zz metal shield ones

Never heard of metal shielded being used in bike hubs.

Less drag than rubber sealed ones, they're used in skateboard wheels all the time.
Anyone know which size sealed bearing cartridges go in the BLB hubs? I see UK Bike Store sells steel ones, but any idea where I could get semi ceramic ones?
