If the ped light is showing as green, its not particularly pleasant to have a knobhead cyclist whiz in front of you.
Unless the rules of the road change, just wait for your lights to go green, ain't that hard is it. Coppers nabbing offenders is one way to teach some people a lesson, as was the case with me a few years back.
