My guess is it will be an easy ride and he will come out of it with the sympathy of the American public at large. Cancer will feature heavily. Probable narrative as follows.

I was incredibly talented naturally, but the deck was stacked against me. I got cancer and realised you only live once. I wanted to test myself and be the best I could be and I made the difficult choice to do what everybody else was doing. I regret that I had to take drugs to let my natural ability shine through. What is done is done, and whilst I regret the drug taking, I won't apologise for taking my story of hope to cancer sufferers. Lists achievements of foundation.
