Interested in a bigger hard drive for my Mac mini. From what I can figure out laptop HD's fit but any idea how I would go about transferring my data?

You'll need to back up using time machine and an external drive.
-edit: I think if you install a new hard drive you'll need to re-install osx on it prior to trying to restore a back up from time machine. They can do this at the mac store for you.
Pulled it out of a new laptop and replaced with an SSD - is a 5200rpm model.
