What track bike (for the track)?

For someone who is 'planning on getting on the track this year', it's safe to say 54x12 isn't ideal at the moment - or particularly feasible.

I'm with you mate. But a statement like "good track gearing" is just about as redundant as "good Tour de France gearing".
