Just been making some changes to the orlowski... Bars and stem courtesy of markairsy (cheers) had dug out another silver seatpost and a Concor esque black saddle, but thought I'd see how it looked with black.post and SLR.

Overruled!if i was getting given carbon rims i would skid them too, im talking in the real world, i spoke to the main mech and owner at brick lane bikes about there carbon rims, and they said ' i know people that are using them, but i dont know how long they will last'

Don't get me started on blb though...
If the mech and owner is not sure how long carbon rims will last then why does he have a range of carbon rims with the BLB brand on them and sell them?
Pretty irresponsible no?
(Just for reference the rim in the photo I posted is a blb one) -

the BLB ones are meant to be tougher then china rims that are meant for normal road use, but then again i have seen people use china rims for fixed steet use, i think it depend if you live somewhere that has nice roads or not (so not england). i still wouldnt own one on my bikes, and there HEAVY, 'guns for show, knives for a pro'

You gonna go 88mm on the Dolan?
-
• #16668
Nah. Either 38 or 50. Maybe 24h/28h.
-
• #16669
50 could be sweet! 24/28 would work good I reckon.
-
• #16670
Yup. A beauty...
-
• #16671
60mm 32h F/R only way to go obviously

It appears they don't actually sell it in this colour, which is a shame because I would buy one right now.
Get yer wallet out. :)

err...do you know how carbon parts are made!?!? just because they look the same doesnt mean they are anything like the same on the inside....layup, fiber directions ect

Carbonz yes, black chainset no... Black 75s look shit in no time especially with straps...

Well, I've got some carbon clinchers that I have on my nice bike, they've held up to 16 stone of northerner skidding about on them so far... I rode them carefullybat first, they seem very stiff. Mine are 36h though I think, a lot of spokes but makes sense to me.

Yes I realise but I know BLB components are really nothing special and most of the cheap chinese stuff is a complete copy of the branded components.
i like to think i kow about lightweight parts, its an extralite stem, new ultimate seatpost with extralite cranks, tufo tubs, velo solo sprocket. dunno bout saddle tho. but i know NON OF IT WOULD TAKE STREET USE (apart from the velo sprock, but they do start to go squishy after a while)
i have no idea what this bike is for as you cant friggin ride it on the street or skid it or ride it on the track. and its not setup for hill climb either, as the chainring couldnt take fixed hill climb stress.............i could be wrong
