So, I've had the frame for a while, and even considered selling it to raise funds for mrs locks's Christmas pressie..... But I raised the money elsewhere.
I was bored last night and ventured out to do a bit of fettling..... I had an old 650 wheel with knackered bearings and replaced them with ones from another old wheel... I also found a tyre lurking at the back.... Then a plan started to form. I started thinking of what I had laying about the different parts of the cave, and thought that I just might have enough bits to build it....a relatively modern 105 wheel went on the back and some 3ttt moser 51.151 time trial bars and an old logo cinelli went on the front.... It looked a bit bike like.
I dug out a 105 group set that came off a donor frame a couple of years back.... Not dura-ace, granted, but it's all I have. So on it goes.
That's also a relatively rare 3ttt micro adjust seatpin.... The name escapes me now.
Excuse the shite pictures..... iPhone in a dark garage.
The bars don't look quite right, but I'm loath to cut them..... I'll just cable it all up in a day or two and ride as is. I have an NOS bennotto tape in blue for it as well..... Saddle could be a unicanitor or turbo.
