I don't know, ManU's recent transfer activity doesn't make it seem like they'll be in for Holtby, feels like Fergie wants to see if they can hack it, then offer over the odds, once they are in the premiership. Also as a new signing in midfield, it can't fill you with confidence that ManU are still running out giggs and scholes, before Pogba (since off to Juve), Kagawa, Anderson - who may or may not have underachieved for the money paid for him and Cleverley, who looks the most likely to make things happen.
Moutinho's transfer is still tricky, and Porto don't need to sell, but with the third party issue, they'll want as much as possible, to offset the money going to those with their hands out..
@Chalfie, he's one of the few recent decent english players to go abroad, and though he wasn't european player of the year, he played well enough, and was thought highly of, for Lille to want him back. I just pine for a time when english players are as well travelled as their french/dutch/italian/german counterparts. Probably won't happen until the premiership goes into decline and wages fall, but it all feels a bit little englander, can't learn the language, complains about the food, returns to home town, tail between their legs..
He was dropped toward the end of his time there.
