Do you know the bandstand thing in the common? Meet you there at 7.

OK, see you there.

I've just booked a train: £6.50, not bad. I'm on the 1.19pm.

Ok, we all made it, but it was wet, cold and muddy. Security are going to love seeing me arrive in the pristine white reception at work in my filthy Sidis...
We saw a couple of accidents on the way, hopefully nobody was hurt too badly. I really wish I'd booked the same ticket as daverlj - the hour at Brighton Station was the coldest of my life.
Earthloop, the nutter, is riding back now. I hope I didn't come across as rude when I left you and your other half - just didn't want to get onthe way, plus was pretty much comatose by then.
Good ride, cheers!

I chickened out of riding back in the end: once I was sitting warm and fed in the pub it stopped seeming like such a great idea.

Y'know, that brighton route looks pretty nice. I think that's Thursday's challenge.
-
• #840
Anything going on tomorrow? I should really go for a run, but bikes are more fun.

I could be in for another Brighton run on Thursday. The 10% rule says that I can ride back this time if I meet you at the M25 rather than coming in to Clapham.
There is a nasty mud track on the route though, if I could remember exactly where it was I would tweak the route to go around it.

About 8 miles from the end. Ish.

Thursday? Can't do friday (well, I can, but work would be horrendous). Would 9/9.30 at the M25/elmore pond be ok?. Or a bit earlier if you're riding back?

9am at elmore pond is good for me.
Looks like it will be -3 but dry.

I'll be in the car park that's on your left just before you get to the pond, assuming you're coming from the North.

• #847
Awesome. See you there.

Going to do a century with 4 laps of box hill and 4 laps of Richmond Park tomorrow, setting off from East Croydon at 8.15. Would enjoy some company :)

• #849
Earthloop- did you make it back? Cheers for showing me the way (and waiting at the top of the hills...).

Anyone up for something round north of North London - that's not laps (RP, Swaines, Highgate etc) on Saturday?
Nothing major, maybe a 40-50 miles rumble early doors?
7 at clapham works for me
