did it snow heavily once you fell off or something?

• #778
Nah, just lazy. Thought I'd need the last one but turned out I didn't.

Awesome! There's something prophetic about that final chamber of terrible nothingness.

won't cross tyres grip better in mud but worse on wet tarmac due to them having less rubber in contact with the road surface?
-
• #781
exactly. and now kuken knows too.

I had been on slicks since the beginning of time (since I picked up cycling as an adult) and had been really careful when wet, with curbs etc. Switched to cx-tyres as the autumn came and thought I was invincible.
You appear to be a sloth in the first frame. Slow reactions - not surprised you crashed.

and landing near that stinking turd just added insult to injury

Apparently :D And now that I think about it, it was actually raining as well.

And yes, now I do know.

Wot no poo?
I think it's under the lorry.
What I expect happened is that the lorry slipped on some poo and as it crashed off the road, its back doors swung open and the sofa fell out. The driver got out and went round the other side but before he could retrieve the errant sofa, he stepped on the fork end of a rake and knocked himself out. At this point our hero turns the corner and is ambushed by the still-lurking soft-furnishing.

A least he didn't crash through the fruit stall or the two men carrying a sheet of glass across the road.
