What are the dropouts on the first frame like?
-
• #3
They are track dropouts, 120mm wide, they have the usualy scratches and paint worn off as normal but no damage. That is true for the whole bike, there isn't a dent or ding on it, just superficial damage. Would look great with a decent paint job.
Here is a poor shot of the dropouts, and also a shot of the bike fully built up over the summer. apologies about the quality once again.

I'd get that red stuff on your face seen to in the second pic - looks serious.

Don't know what you are talking about, that is how I normally look...

Is the Strada still available?

You said the LeMond was 56cm C-T and I see the seat tube extending quite far above the toptube, how tall is it C-C and would you be able to fit some wheels on it to measure its standover height? Cheers!
-

These are both still available.
I will stick some wheels on and measure standover tonight. C-T is actually 58cm on the Lemond, sorry, c-c is about 54.5cm. It fits me perfectly at 5'10"ish.

i've got a filmore (same size from the looks of it) and actually had it painted the same/very similar colour at armourtex soon after i first got it - didn't realise there was another one like it in london! i think it's a great bike, been riding it 5+ years and it's done me really well. as far as i am concerned, 60 quid for the frame is a total bargain, so good luck with the sale!

Taba? Are you in Manchester?

I am indeed.

Taba, do you have any pics of the Raleigh built up?
Would you consider sending to Australia (my 653 Race recently got nicked - hankering for another Raleigh, but not many down here)? -
• #14
I don't I'm afraid, I don't have a camera either, I would be happy to post to australia if you pay for shipping.

Really keen on lemond!

Silly deal on that Lemond...think you paint a pretty bleak picture for what is actually a pretty nice frame. I wouldnt part with mine for double that price!

Thanks Taba, but i researched the strada, and while it's a nice frame, i think i'd be a bit  trying to compare it to my old 653 race (which was also a 1989 model btw).
glws.

No worries munga, good luck finding a replacement, nothing worse than a prized bike being stolen.

I'm interested in the Strada - could you tell me whether it takes short or long reach brakes, please?
A couple of frames have to go to make room and £'s for a new project, apologies about the pics, there a few more available but they are of similar quality:
Green lemond filmore F+F 58cm seat tube c-t 56cm top tube c-c
£65 - £60+ postage SOLD
Also have a Raleigh Strada F+F, with 531 tubes. 54cm seat tube c-t 54 top tube c-c.
No name, worn but working headset included. Paint and decals are original but not in great nick, bottom brack was stuck and cost me £35 to have heated up and removed by LBS so shell is a bit blackened. Again this has rack/guard eyelets. I rode this for more that 3 years and loved it but it was always too small so eventually had to move on.
