Hi. My dad makes wooden handlebars with drops, if I understand what you intend with drops. They are made of different layers of oak wood and/or walnut wood and can have a layer of metal too. Let me know if you are interested and I can send you pictures, they are really cool! (he lives in Milan and has been inspired from some really cool shops there)
