Yay. Did it last night. I bought a round file which was pretty much the same width/radius as the slot, and so it was easy to just file in one direction to lengthen the hole - no shaping required. Took about thirty minutes, excluding the time I spent explaining to my wife what I was doing. Looks ace, I will post some pics in the CP thread I have for this bike. And it works - an extra 3-4mm was all I needed and the blocks are bang on the rim. Thanks, have some rep.
