Got to be a dissertation based on their marketing/branding though- it's amazingly good.
Creating an entire "heritage brand" from as standing start is impressive, and I always think their bikes look great, even though I know the starting point.
I think their designer has a lot of talent, regardless of anything else.
Not to weigh in on this, but they haven't created a heritage brand from a standing start.
They used the 'Rapha' model of taking a product pioneered by others (smartwool / open mould frames), adding heritage leveraged from cycling history and packaging it with strong sense of identity (Rapha: suffering/beauty of pain , Ritte: hard as fuck Flandrian), some gloss and a premium price tag. It's very smart marketing (not as smart as Rapha, but hey..) - but the design isn't particularly mind blowing.

Ritte's markup is nowhere near rapha yet though is it :) Even though the frames has gone from 1300 dollars to 2400 dollars its not really a premium frame price, rather mid range.
Dunno. All the material taken out has been put back in.
So then it's just ride quality.
Yes, on the stays. Not for the fork, I think.

Little more info here: http://www.eroicacicli.com/blog/masi-slotted-chain-stays-design/
How does it look finished:
All that nice work and the seat cluster is just a basic pressed steel seat clamp, maybe there is a reason behind (I would imagine they know what they do?), but I would have prefered to see a cast steel one, maybe like this?
And also maybe a have a nice cinelli BB, still with the "M" cut out?
Anyway, still absolutely porn, I love this kind of "complications", amazing frame!

Exactly. Turn up at the next retro/custom steel circle jerk meet looking just that little bit more smug.
Works for me :)

Wow.
That's awesome. It's like the frame was built for DA 7900.

Not near porn.
Ugly. -

No. Nothing wrong with them, if you like open mould Chinese frames, but just for the ludicrous mark up they put on for their fake heritage brand they will always be anti to me.
Whatev's I still like this one:

Two Surlys ...
Almost seems inspired by the fastboycycles thunderfucker V that was posted here a few pages ago.
Also - not great photos, but I like

I disagree, I think the bikes look really good- head and shoulders above a lot of others.

If there is a Flandrien riding a Ritte, I'd like to meet them.

Lets not forget we have Ritte to thank for this mutha

Hardly, that's a Moth Attack frame with Ritte stickers on it. Bloke might be on the team but they didn't have much to do with the bike.

thanks ritte!

Moth Attack brazing is fantastic. Apparently she churns out the work like it's automated...

Surely the same argument as their carbon frames?
I'm saying the build and the rider are rad.
Whatevs. I'm a Ritte fanboy

It's exactly the same as their carbon frames: badge engineering. Their branding doesn't do anything for me, personally.
Frame/build and rider are rad though, yes.

This frame is definite porn but it ain't cheap.
They will kill you
it kind of puts the finger on the hipster movement from track bikes to road bikes
