No love for the old Peugeot?
Happy to strip the parts you need, post and bin the frame.

This is now offered in Freecycle for anyone with a gold star.
I will keep the leather saddle, but you can have the rest of the bike for free
The bike is in Brixton and will need to be picked up.
Cheers and happy new year!

Done
1950’s Peugeot 58cm Singlespeed, Helium tubing, leather saddle, mudguards, rack- £50 -> £30 now** £FREE**
This is solely for spares or repairs – the bike had a front end crash about 30 years ago. This will be of use if you are trying to do a period restoration
I am unsure of the date of manufacture and exact model but by looking at brochures, I can say that was a 1950’s bike as Peugeot changed their logo in the 60’s.
This one is 58cm square but since the frame is bent, it doesn’t really matter.
In terms of part harvest – the main frame is definitely dead but could be used for one of these ‘bike stool conversion’ like that:http://www.flickr.com/photos/ericgauster/7017286499/in/faves-whitelander/
http://theprudentcyclist.com/2012/02/cool-bike-bar-stools/
The forks still ‘look’ straight, headset is smooth, bars are straight, brakeset+levers are still useable, mudguards would need a good polish but would still come back to like, the rims are shot but the hubs are good, the single cottered chainset, pedals, bottom bracket, chain and freewheel are also salvageable and so is the Franceix leather saddle. And the rear rack.
£50 -> £30 -> £FREE for the full bike, pick up from Brixton as it currently does not ride
Cheers
