  • here's a list that should help you make a few choices http://www.lfgss.com/thread9085.html, make a list, narrow it down and then come back for more advice if you need it.

    ^This.

    Also consider the following points:

    1) Check out the site guidelines and the nursery for new members.

    2) Search the site in general - tons of great info absolutely free.

    3) Always check for relevant existing threads before posting a new one.

    4) Do a quick Google search. Offers are constantly changing and there's literally hundreds of great offers to be had out there, particularly this time of year.

    5) Consult your local bike shop if applicable. You will need a point of reference regarding price, quality and so on, hence I recommend you do some homework before doing so.

    6) As already implied, do some research and post a link or two to something you like, or are considering, or you want fellow members to comment on. It's difficult to give advise, based on sparse information you provide here.

    7) Always bare in mind that LFGSS is not your personal Googling service. Most forum members are happy to help, but like to see you doing some of the basic groundwork yourself, taking advantage of existing recourses and so on before asking questions, that might already have been answered.

    8) Also you need to consider if £600 is really your budget! Do you need any extras e.g.lock, pump, spare tube, repair kit, tools, clothing etc.? As a rule of thumb think of a realistic budget and then double it; particularly if you're starting from scratch. Evidently you've got previous experience, so this might not be an issue, but definitely something to think about.

I'm a newbie myself by the way... Well to LFGSS anyway; welcome onboard.
