Only thing I don't like about the Power2max is that you can't turn off the auto zero function. Apparently it's unlikely to happen but there are a couple of ways you can fool it into zeroing when there is torque on the crank (e.g. if you're trackstanding on a hill and can keep your feet very still).
On the other hand it does come in useful if you can't manually zero it, for example during a race. Zeroing it manually with a Garmin is a pain in the arse anyway unless you make the 160 or so button presses well in advance of stopping at a junction or some traffic lights (I wouldn't pull over and stop specifically to zero it... that would be a bit obsessive.).
