  • what time Friday?

  • Missed this - did it happen? When's next?

  • Great see you there

  • Went to Macclesfield forest yesterday. Bit of a waste of time in the end, no good for SS unless you're an animal, no signposts so you need to print off directions, the mtb specific section I did find was unrideable. Also the map on the website is too small to work anything out, printing out would be a waste of paper.

  • sounds like you weren't very well prepared. Never rely on sign posts!

  • Sunday

    11am at the Lookout?

  • ^^ I was a little unprepared on the navigation. The 'trails' were poor with a huge amount of fire roads in the mix. The walking trails were twice as good, but you're not allowed to ride on them

  • Anyone know what bars these are?

    Great see you there

    11am at the Lookout?

    Has this been resolved yet?

  • I think some are going to meet at 11. Given the shit train connections I may go on a road ride instead. Will see how I feel in the morning.

  • 11am at the lookout it is despite the shiteness of the trains.

  • Anyone know what bars these are?

they are LP Composites DH Risers in yellow hybrid weave

  • 3 of us - great but very wet. Now to work out how to send the trace to Howard. Happy New Year!

  • Sorry I could not make it out. It was going to be a pain to get out there, so instead I did 60miles on the road as self punishment.

  • Anyone fancy a ride on the 3rd, 4th or 5th? Need to get the new wheelz out for a spin.

  • 3rd or 5th may work for me

waiting for my work schedule to be confirmed

  • Could possibly do the 5th.

  • I can do 3rd or 5th. But so much of Swinley is closed now. Dorking anyone?

  • Yeah, I hadn't realised quite how many trails were closed at Swinley. I'm game for Dorking if someone knows the area well enough for a decent ride?

  • I have a good thirty mile XC loop starting in Dorking that takes in most of the goodstuff - and has some good opportunities for pub stops / extra trails.

  • Sounds spot on. Is it ss friendly?

  • Cedy did half of it on his single speed cross bike - so I'd say yes.

It's quite brutal though in places.

  • Is it ss friendly?

All trails are SS friendly, as long as any riders on geared bikes are.

are you new to lfgss, the unfriendliest bike forum?

not sure why the geared riders ought to be pleasant given our reputation!
