I think he posted them as surrogate Omnomnoms, i.e. hefty track cranks. Taking a mid range road crank, FC-6600 are 833g complete with 53/39 rings and BB. Fit the 39t in the outer position and you're looking at <800g. Parkers have them at £127.50 with BB, £50 more than the Miche but vastly superior and good weight weenie value at about 30p per gram saved.
