I like the gatorskin for skidz.
Maybe only coz I have a stock of them though. Working in a bikeshop they seem to be a tyre that one can acquire very easily - people don't get on with the grip in the wet, weight, non-foldingness etc so swap them out and leave you them. I have about 5 in the shed and find that they last pretty well when skiddered.
