Wanted: carbon fixed wheelset

Looking for a carbon track wheelset. Ideally around 60mm, large-flange hubs

Preferably brobycarbons on dura-ace, but beggars can't be choosers!

Not really on a budget, just looking for the right thing! Pretty much anything considered.

As far as I can discern the Broby Carbon rims are just generic Chinese stuff- I had a look at them in Tokyo fixed, and the only difference between them and the stuff I ordered from China was pricetag and the Broby sticker- they had the exact same "warning!" stickers on.

Really? I've heard quite a few people raving about them, but never known anyone with experience of the chinese stuff of t'bay?

I might be wrong, all I can say is that visually they are 100% identical to the Chinese stuff.

I'm more worried about the hub, surely the Chinese ones which are like 300 quid will have quite a cheap hub?

Novatec, I would think- never going to set the world on fire, but they are far from being a bad hub.

would probably prefer these, then get them build on a 2nd hand pair of Dura-ace, then built by hand.

I'm half hoping some 23mm wide's are going to come on to the market, but I think it's all about full carbon nowadays. Still 450g+/-10g is pretty good for a 38mm deep clincher... so it's still a possibility.

Why alloy braking surface? If it's wet weather performance the new pads and brake tracks are much improved on the full carbon rims, I've zero complaints on mine.

The obvious answer is HED Jets .. 23 wide, Al brake and carbon fairing ..

Good enough for Tony Martin to win the final time trial of the 2011 TdF in Grenoble on a HED Jet 6 clincher on the front (clincher) and a HED Stinger Disc (tubular)
