Ok ss, what you do is:
Insert a picture into a post, it'll be wrapped within img /img square brackets.
Then select (cut or copy) a url link that you want the picture to link through to.
Position your cursor at the top of the already embedded picture, then drag/scroll to the bottom of the picture - this should result in the picture turning blue.
Now press insert url button and paste the link. Submit reply. Should have a picture link.

That seemed to work: thanks!
Just seemed odd that the formatting changed.

More likely that I've been hit with one (a spanner, not an underling that is).
Thanks again.

Fixed it for you.

Thanks: had the links dropped out again?
I edited it following RG instructions and it looked ok.
I have found in the past that embedded (rather than attached) pictures, revert to being a link rather than showing the image.
It doesn't seem to affect others though, so it's more likely to be me rather than at your end.

Pictures above a certain size are converted to links for the benefit of those using mobile devices or slow connections.
Am I doing something wrong: http://www.lfgss.com/post3312351-44791.html
I added a link to the text (making the text a clickable link) and linked to a photo (so it appeared in the post) and it looked fine when posted.
However the formatting has gone and the link now appears at the end of the text and the photo is now just a link.
