Prob the way it looks like the forks protrude above the headset and the way the seatpost stays up without a bolt to hold it...

Oh aye, didn't even notice that. I thought the forks looked bent, that clearance between down tube and wheel is weird, especially considering the rear clearance at the back. Although obviously the forks aren't original, so I think that's confusing me.

I'd split it to be honest, OP. Clean up the frame a bit and you'd probably get an alright price for it. Likewise for the crankset and wheels.

If you still have this in a couple of weeks I might have it off you, I want to get on the track so need to alter my current bike but I need something more suitable for everyday use. This would be ideal!
