My suggestions, that is! :)

Don't know if British Eagle or Coventry eagle ever had eagle-like wings on their badges - any other bird related manufacturers may be worthy of consideration......

pictures of other parts of the bike/frame may help

Good efforts, but I've gone through all of those too!
I've got no other images.....it's an old ladies framed 3speed, buried in my dads shed.
It has age to it though, and an oiler port on the bb. It is in an olive green colour, seems to be original, with no trace of any decals at all.
I just seem to remember seeing it somewhere, and it's doing my head in!

Oil nipple (or it just a lift up cap?) on the BB shell prob means its 40's to 60's, this Is doing my head in too, it'll give me something to do on Christmas Eve at work though!

It's the old brass threaded nipple, so definately pre-war....I'm up to 'P' on velobase!

Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me identify the frame on a bike I picked up from ebay around a year ago?
The guy I bought it from was given the frame/fork by a friend and then built up using spare parts from a bike shop he worked at. It has been resprayed (and I maybe restickered as they say 531 rather than 531c) at Bob Jackson cycles in Leeds at some point in its life
I have worked out so far it is a Raleigh from 1984, and is either a Team Replica or Competition (ruled out the Road Ace due to the shifter mounts). However I am unsure which one it is. The thing throwing me off is the mudguard eyes on the dropouts, when the production models do not have mounts or clearance for guards. The Team replica says that it can be custom ordered, so I am thinking it may have been custom ordered with the eyes but don't know enough to know if this is likely or not.
If anyone can let me know which one it is, or point me in the direction of further info it would be much appreciated. Here are some pictures and the catalogs I have used for reference so far- if there is anything else from the frame that can help identify it, please let me know. Thanks.

Hi guys,
Looking to get some more info on this frame.
Just wondering if there is any significance or reason behind the colour scheme ect, any information like that would be great :)

Got this frame set for a good price, thinking it was from a Boardman Team bike. Having built some of of it up, I'm now thinking it may be from a Team hybrid.
If any one could help I would be very greatful. Cheers
( Ignore the seat post in the photo, my clamp doesn't fit the frame, so its just resting in at the moment )

Does anyone know what this old gitane is? It has a new paint job now, but am quite interested to find out when it's from and what it is, I think it's from the 70's. Thanks

Seeing the decals, I would guess late 80's early 90's.
Have a look through the old catalogues:
http://www.gitaneusa.com/catalogues.aspAnd if you like Gitanes, I fixed one up last year:

Thanks Vince, I think it must be from the 1990 catalogue because the decals are identical to some in there and it had the same white fade to black handlebar tape too. It looks most similar to the replica II (http://www.gitaneusa.com/images/catalog/1990/usa/1990-USA-011.jpg) but with different forks. I'll keep hunting!

The chainrings are TA, the cranks look like Stronglight.

i know the rings. Just the crank has me stumped. It says b on it. I have no idea what make it is.
Went through all bike makes with b. And i still have no idea.
It looks a bit like a stronglight/campag its an imposter
No don't think it's either of those actually, sorry.
I also spelt Raleigh incorrectly, I only own two, shame on the beard.
