Will this take modern componentry?? And is the bb italian thread?? Please excuse ignorance...
Lovely.

Yup, it takes Italian BB, 27.2 seatpin, brazeon front mech, 10speed hub in placed right now, 1" steerer, 2 bottle cages etc.
Only thing to note is the headset is specially adapted to give a very low profile. All in good condition though. If I could make it grow just 1cm i'd be hanging on ;)

I am 6-1. Is it likely too small for me too??

Actually on v quick reflection perhaps not due to low profile. Very lovely though. Deserves a good home.....

It is not a lo-pro, as seen above. Sorry, i've provided frame measurements, but am not able to advise whether or not it would fit anyone - too many factors are at play.

I have a frame like this in this size and am 6' with a 32" inside leg, it seems to fit well, but think I'm on the extreme of what is a comfortable fit.

I purchased this lovely Merckx via retrobike last week. I was very silly with my sizes and it is sadly too small.
1989 Merckx Corsa Extra frame and forks in team ADR colours. ST=58ctt (56c-c); TT=56ctc

"It's in great condition for it's age - a few nicks and chips here and there as to be expected but the chrome is in great shape (stays and forks). Some paint missing from the bottom bracket as to be expected but nothing serious. Only points worth mentioning being some minor scrapes the previous owner has touched up witha flat white paint rather than pearlescent, and a very small spot of surface rust by one of the bottle bosses but absolutely nothing to worry about. I'd describe it as 8.5/10 for condition so you can ride it and enjpy it without being precious about it. "
It has no dents or dings . Comes with a modified Shimano 6400 Ultegra headset to fit a neat fork steerer.
