I would like to ride from London to Brighton on Mayday 2013. Unfortunately the real Mayday isn't a bank holiday, and is midweek. The actual Mayday bank holiday is on Monday 6th of May but I'd like to ride down on the Sunday and then do some drinking in Brighton (hopefully if it’s hot enough on the beach).
If anyone has any better suggestions on a starting point or route I’m all ears. Despite living in Brighton for six years and being brought up in London, I’ve never actually ridden from London to Brighton. I’d like to meet at 8:30 at Hyde Park corner (ignore the map for now) and depart at 9?
The ride will be at a social pace, with lots of stops for food and beer. Che Guevara T shirts, red flags and copies of the Socialist Worker are
not required to take part in this Mayday ride.
Inspired by Ian's thread here - http://www.lfgss.com/thread98367.html

I found this route on the forum.
