Back with the folks in Sweden over the holidays. My mom asked me if I could try and get dad back on his bike since it would do him good, get him out of the house etc. : )
I havent had a look at his old bike in about 10 years so I didnt know what to expect. And last I did I wasnt a fixie skidder/bike enthusiast :D But now rich on internet knowledge about stuff I was quite happy to find a really well kept although garage dusted motobecane with 531 reynolds, black dura ace brakes and weinmann tubulars. Couldn't get a good look at the drive train since the bike was behind a couple of other retired 70's rides but i'm hoping its either dura ace or at least french. Not sure if I have time for a era correct restauration since they tend to cost more than they are worth but will definitely clean it up and see if I the tubulars hold air etc.
these philippe bars are so ridiculously long in the drops it looks silly, almost like noodle bars but in drop bar form.
